The Bernese Oberland is the cradle of tourism in Switzerland. Hike in Goethe’s footsteps through the Bernese Oberland (the hiking guide is included in the package). It offers great hiking routes, just as Goethe walked during his exploration of the Bernese Oberland. Many of the starting points are sustainably
accessible by public transport. With two beautiful navigable lakes, various valleys, each with its own
all have their own character, many mountain railways, cable cars and bus lines, it offers a wealth of
opportunities to spend a wonderful holiday. The region also offers a multitude of varied hiking and cycling tours, enjoyable boat trips, exciting outdoor activities and much more…

You will also realise that Goethe must have been physically fit, as some of the climbs, especially up the Obersteinberg, are quite demanding! The most famous is undoubtedly the Staubbach Falls. Goethe was overwhelmed by the size of this waterfall and found the inspiration for one of his most famous poems here…

Day 7 – Individual Departure
