You can directly hop on the train and relax on your way and enjoy the ride in the spacious 1st class. Day 1 – Arrival in Kandersteg

Travel by train to Kandersteg, whether from any of the three Swiss international airports (Zurich/Zürich, Basle/Basel or Geneva/Geneve) or by train from Germany, France, Austria or Italy. The train ticket for Switzerland is included.

Day 2 to 7 – Days at leisure in the Bernese Oberland and nearby Valais

The Bernese Oberland is the cradle of tourism in Switzerland. With two beautiful navigable lakes, different valleys, each with its own unique character, many mountain railways, cable cars and scenic bus lines, it offers a wealth of opportunities to spend a great holiday. As well the region offers a variety of varied hiking and cycling tours, enjoyable boat trips, exciting outdoor activities and much more…

Just south of the Loetschberg train tunnel, the Valais offers more possibilities and a totally different culture too! Use the opportunity to explore this region and for example, see the Matterhorn in Zermatt. A beautiful valley just at the end of the Loetschberg tunnel, the Loetschental is an unspoiled natural gem!

Excursion to Lake Oeschinen
Probably the most beautiful alpine lake is just a brief gondola ride away from Kandersteg. However, upon arrival you will not see the lake! Lake Oeschinen is hidden further back in the valley and a short 20 minute walk over alpine meadows and through light forest leads to the shore. The gondola ride up and down is included in the package.

Day 8 – Individual Departure

It is time to say goodbye. You take your train back to the Swiss airport or Swiss border.
Alternatively, another tour can be added or you may want to stay a few extra days somewhere else in Switzerland. Just let us know so we can assist in getting you there.
