Snow capped peaks and lush meadows – perfect for hiking

Especially, when you like to hike, these packages are a perfect option. Remember, Switzerland is a relatively small country and you will find plenty of hikes, near your hotel, short or long, easy or more challenging. You can easily combine a hike with a ride by mountain railway, cable car, gondola, boat or bus. Because we have included the “Swiss Half Fare Card” in all our packages, you will save up to 50% on all these excursions!

Here some examples of those combinations:

• You can sail by boat from Interlaken to Iseltwald, hike to the Giessbach Falls, by boat to Brienz and back by train to Interlaken.
• You can take the train from Spiez to Muelenen and continue by funicular to Mt. Niesen, enjoy the panorama and then hike down to the mid station.
• From Grindelwald, you can ride the Maennlichen gondola. Then you hike towards the Kleine Scheidegg and be awestruck by the views of the Eiger north face. The cog railway brings you back to Grindelwald.
• Take the gondola in Kandersteg to the summit station and hike to Lake Oeschinen. Either backtrack or hike down to Kandersteg.
